The premise
Two in the morning, a window that should be closed, and a stepdaughter halfway through it. Don’t Tell Your Mother! starts from that moment: a stepfather decides not to wake his wife, and her daughter, an adult home late from a party, decides she owes him. Ava Parkson plays her, and Candy tags the series Taboo. It arrived on Candy in the week of 20 October.
The window and the kitchen
The first episode is one late-night conversation. Caught on the way in, Ava asks straight away whether he will tell her mother. He wants to know who dropped her off; some guy from the party, she says, but she was not interested, because she prefers older men. Sent to bed, she bargains for a detour to the kitchen first. When her mother calls down the stairs, he covers for both of them with a story about getting water, and Ava thanks him by saying she owes him one. Her first idea for repaying it is that he drives her to another party tomorrow night.
It is teasing rather than graphic: nothing sexual happens on camera in the opener.
What follows
From the synopsis, the repayments get more personal. Episode two opens after a free sign-up on Candy and the remaining three are behind tokens; we have only watched the first, so the series carries no stars or verdict from us at this stage.
Unlock cost
The paid trio costs 12 tokens per episode, 36 overall.
Step-family stories here
House Rules turns the same household secret around, with a stepmother setting the terms while the father is away. Ava Parkson’s other title, Whatever Your Stepmom Says, also sits in step-family territory, which is clearly where Candy sees her.
Early read
A tight, single-night set-up with a clear power play: she has the secret, he has the silence. Fans of Candy’s taboo shelf will find it familiar, and the free opener is enough to judge the chemistry.
