The premise
Nate shares a flat with Ben, a nice guy whose girlfriend Sadie stays over every weekend. She says Nate is the worst: cocky, rude, always in a towel. Nate says Ben is boring, and that Sadie knows it. My Roommate’s Girlfriend is built on that argument. Sadie Ashworth plays Sadie, and Candy tags the series Cuck. It was released around 20 October.
Saturday morning
The opener is a kitchen exchange after a noisy night. Nate points out that the walls are thin and that it did not sound as if she enjoyed it; Sadie tells him to shut up and wishes he would move out. He says Ben is sweet, that she does not want sweet, and offers to say out loud what she does want. When Ben calls her back to bed and she says she is coming, Nate wonders if Ben has ever heard her say that before. Ben then asks if Sadie can stay the whole weekend, Nate agrees with a grin, and his parting line to her is that she knows where to find him when she gets bored.
It is all needling and innuendo; nothing explicit happens.
The rest of the weekend

Price to finish
Thirty-six tokens for the locked half, twelve per episode.
Sadie elsewhere
Sadie Ashworth also leads My Stepsister Still Calls Me Loser, where the hostility runs the other way: she is the one doing the mocking. Here Nate does the provoking and she plays defence, which makes the pair a good double bill.
Our first reaction
Sharp dialogue and a rivalry you can see heading somewhere from the first line. If you enjoy enemies-to-something banter, the opener is one of the better-written of the October batch.
