The premise
Mona’s Worst Enemy is an enemies-to-lovers story stretched over fifteen episodes, which makes it one of the four longest titles on the Candy Shorts shelf. Mona is stuck under the same roof as her stepbrother, a self-assured gym type she has no respect for, while their parents are away for work. He has been told to keep an eye on her. She would rather he kept his eyes to himself.
Episodes one and two
The opener is a car ride home and a running argument. He cannot stop looking at her; she tells him, loudly and repeatedly, exactly what she thinks of that. The joke of the episode is that her private reaction is less hostile than her public one, and the final beat makes that clear. Episode two moves the fight indoors: a chore neither wants to do, a trade involving a night out, and a present from him that she pretends not to like. By the end the rivalry has turned into a game both of them are playing.
Both episodes are all dialogue and friction. They are frank in what the characters say to each other, but nothing is shown that would need a lock, and that is where they stop.
After the lock
From episode three the series follows the usual Candy rule and becomes explicit. What sets this title apart is the ratio: with thirteen paid episodes, the story has room to keep escalating rather than cashing everything in at once. We have not given it an explicitness rating yet, so there are no stars on the poster, but it is plainly adult content from the first lock onward.
What it costs
Every locked episode is 12 tokens. The full run costs 156, roughly a month and a half of Premium’s 100-token allowance, or four times the price of a typical five-episode series. If you only want a taste, unlocking episode three alone costs 12 tokens and shows you where the story is heading.
Who will enjoy it
Viewers who like bickering leads and a slow build will get the most out of it. If what you want is the payoff with as little set-up as possible, a five-part title such as one of our shorter picks will suit you better. Mona Newman fans also have four five-episode options, including British Summer with my Stepbro, which scores the maximum on our explicitness scale.
How it compares
Among the four fifteen-episode series, Mona’s Worst Enemy is the one most focused on a single relationship. Caught Between Sisters spreads its conflict across a family and a rival sibling, YES MA’AM runs on rank and risk, and Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right opens with three free episodes instead of two. If you like the stepsibling rivalry but want it shorter, Mona also leads My Stepsister Thinks I’m Pathetic, a five-parter we rate four out of five for explicitness.
Before spending tokens
Treat episode two as the test. If the sparring between Mona and her stepbrother already feels repetitive there, thirteen more episodes will not change your mind. If you enjoy it, consider spreading the cost across two months of Premium allowance rather than buying a token pack: the story holds up well in instalments, and nothing is lost by pausing between episodes.
Verdict
A patient series in a catalogue built on quick ones. The free episodes are among the better-written openers on Candy because the characters actually dislike each other, and that tension is what carries the length. Worth the 156 tokens if you enjoy the first two; easy to skip if you do not.
